Our small grants committee has met to consider applications for support, awarding five grants to local organisations totally £7,000.
Our latest recipients of grant funding for projects benefitting the community are Spiral Freerun and Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS).
Spiral Freerun will bring to Bedford with the very FIRST and ONLY purpose-built Parkour/ Freerunning facility within the region.
Following Parkour's recent success over the years this project will create purpose-built acrobatic facilities, supporting inclusion and mental health by providing high quality educational & fun parkour sessions to individuals aged 4+ regardless of background or experience level.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) provides free peer support to adults bereaved by suicide in a timely and open-ended manner. The funding will ensure the ongoing viability of the first (and only) Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) group in Bedford. The group’s vision is that no one bereaved by suicide has to face their loss alone.
Look out for updates on these projects as they progress, and congratulations to our grantees for their successful proposals.
